Duties
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling additional products to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Manage food handling responsibilities including proper storage, portioning, and serving to ensure freshness and safety.
- Assist in food prep tasks like chopping ingredients or assembling menu items to support kitchen operations.
- Support team members with cashiering duties, food delivery within the restaurant, and general restaurant maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills
- SPANISH & ENGLISH REQUIRED
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service or quick service & fast- food restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and monitor guest behavior for safety.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
- Previous restaurant or retail experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential!
