Facilities Engineer - USDC

Kokusai Semiconductor Equipment Corporation (KSEC) is a world leader and rapidly growing company in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of vertical diffusion furnaces used in semiconductor fabrication facilities around the world. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to fill a key technology position serving the semiconductor equipment market with a career growth-oriented company.

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill the Facilities Engineer role at our new demo center (USDC) located in Hillsboro Or. This a unique opportunity to be involved in a green field semiconductor project from construction through startup and daily operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·      Ensure the facility is always operated in a safe and efficient manner.

·      Responsible for the execution of corrective maintenance activities.

·      Develop Preventative Maintenance plans and perform scheduled maintenance.

·      Ability to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues.

·      Develop standard operating procedures for facility systems.

·      Develop energy isolation procedures for facility systems.

·      Conduct and document FMEA’s on critical systems.

·      Identify and recommend efficiency improvement initiatives.

·      Coordinate with 3rd party specialists for repairs, maintenance, and upgrades of equipment.

·      Excellent communication skills and serve as a liaison between various 3rd party vendors and Kokusai

stakeholders.

EDUCATION:

·      A.S. or B.S in related Electro/Mechanical or Electronic field or equivalent training.

·      40HR HAZWOPER Certification

EXPERIENCE:

·      Demonstrated “Safety First” approach to all aspects of working in a potentially hazardous environment.

·      Minimum 7 years’ direct experience in operating and maintaining semiconductor facility systems.

·      In depth knowledge of various facilities systems including UPW, AWN, CDA, PCW, Boilers, Air Chillers,

Air handlers, Gas & Chemical delivery systems, Exhaust systems, Abatement units, TG Electrical

distribution, and fire safety systems.

·      Understanding of facility regulations and the ability to apply them in practice.

·      Direct experience operating SCADA control systems and ability to identify and recommend

optimization strategies to the system vendor.

·      Knowledge and certifications for storage and safe handling of chemicals and specialty gases, including

cylinder changes.

·      Practical experience in troubleshooting with demonstrated ability to quickly identify and resolve issues

with multiple facilities systems.

·      Knowledge of emergency response protocols.

·      Demonstrated people management skills.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. (range $92.5K-$176.8K). In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
