At Kokusai Semiconductor Equipment Corporation (KSEC), the Customer Support Engineer II provides advanced preventive and corrective maintenance support for diffusion and CVD equipment, serving as the primary technical authority at assigned customer sites.
This role is ideal for engineers who value structured service environments, disciplined troubleshooting, and meaningful technical impact.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS DESIGNED FOR
- Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering graduates
- Early-career engineers (0–3 years' experience)

You don’t need years of semiconductor experience. You do need strong fundamentals, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.
YOUR DEVELOPMENT PATH
Phase 1 – Structured Training
- Combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training (OJT)
- Safety protocols and cleanroom fundamentals
- Preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) fundamentals
- Basic system diagnostics and documentation usage
- Exposure to KSEC administrative systems and technical databases
Phase 2 – Guided Customer Support
- Perform preventive maintenance with supervision
- Assist with corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Learn tool architecture and subsystem functions
- Begin direct interaction with customer engineering teams
Phase 3 – Expanding Technical Scope
- Support multiple customer tool sets
- Perform independent maintenance tasks
- Develop diagnostic confidence
- Act as a professional liaison between customers and internal support teams
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform preventive maintenance on advanced semiconductor equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities
- Follow KSEC and customer safety protocols at all times
- Support equipment installation or removal as required
- Complete documentation and administrative reporting accurately
- Provide feedback to technical support and engineering teams
- Maintain professional, customer-facing behavior
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN (YEAR 1–2)
- Diffusion and CVD system architecture
- Preventive & corrective maintenance methodology
- Diagnostic troubleshooting techniques
- Cleanroom and fab operational standards
- Customer communication and technical professionalism
- Multi-tool platform familiarity across customer environments

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A.S. or B.S. in a technical discipline (or equivalent hands-on background)
- 0–3 years experience in electro-mechanical support, maintenance, or related roles
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Professional communication skills
- Flexibility for travel (as needed) and schedule adjustments

COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $79K-$101.9K. Description, based on experience, qualification’s location, and level. Comprehensive benefits package included.
