Job Site: Head Start (Darrough Chapel ELC)
Hours/Days: up to 6.5 hours per day, 186 days (9.5 months)
Hourly Rate: $12.53 per hour

Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing coverage and monitoring groups of Head Start students on the bus, in the cafeteria, and in classrooms as needed. Willing to learn and follow Head Start performance standards and state early childhood licensing requirements. Ride bus daily to assist bus driver in supervision of children during bus routes to and from school. Monitor Head Start students to ensure they follow bus safety rules. Assist children in to and out of child safety restraints. Participate in annual program self-assessment. Attend Head Start mandatory trainings. This position is needed to maintain state and federal adult/child ratios. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
Mandatory FBI fingerprinting background check and other HS requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent; AND
Have one of the following or willing to obtain to be highly qualified:
- Two-year college degree
- Passed ParaPro Assessment
- 48 credit hours of college level classes; OR
- Childhood Development Associate certificate (CDA)
- Kokomo School Corporation Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification
