Koinonia Homes for Teens is seeking qualified and compassionate individual to join our team as part-time Mental Health Support Worker (MHSW) in our adolescent residential therapeutic program located in Antelope. We Are Looking To Fill The Following Full-Time Shift
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate individual with good boundaries who has a passion for helping at-risk youth. They will also have good interpersonal and communication skills; good time management and organizational skills; be reliable and dependable; work productively under minimal supervision; have a high degree of integrity and confidentiality; have a reliable means of transportation; and a schedule that is flexible to meet work requirements. Must be at least 21 years of age (as required by state law), and have experience working with youth (including but not limited to coaching, tutoring, mentoring, daycare, volunteering or working in a school), OR a bachelor's degree, OR teaching certificate, OR Alcohol and Other Drug certification.

Qualified candidates must complete a criminal background clearance through the California Department of Justice and FBI to ensure eligibility for employment, as well as a pre-employment physical and TB test.
This position requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation as driving is an essential job function. The MHSW must be able to safely and reliably transport youth to medical appointments, therapy sessions, educational activities, and other essential services that support their overall well-being. In addition, the MHSW must be prepared to respond to crisis situations by providing immediate transportation to ensure the safety and security of the youth, often in locations not easily accessible by alternative transportation methods. The nature of these responsibilities necessitates the ability to drive to ensure timely, reliable, confidential and effective support for the youth and families we serve. The Mental Health Support Worker Opportunity Includes
- $22.00 to $24.00 per hour starting wage. Eligible for annual pay increases.
- Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic and behavioral health plan
- PTO accrual, premium pay for working certain holidays, 401k plan and more
- Supervise youth on outings, recreational activities and other vacation destinations (while getting paid!)
We Are Looking To Fill The Following Full-Time Shift
- Sunday-Wednesday: Typical hours are 7:00am - 5:00pm
