PRODUCTION EMPLOYEES JOB DESCRIPTION
Production personnel are expected to be courteous to customers and coworkers and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Proper PPE is required in general and for specific tasks. Safety shoes, safety glasses and gloves are required for normal operations. Hearing protection and other PPE may be required for specific jobs. Check with your supervisor for specific requirements before performing tasks.
- To operate fork trucks, loaders, cranes or hoists, you must be 18 years old and have certification on the specific equipment. To operate commercial trucks including pick up trucks you must be 21.
- Only use properly rated chains, slings or lifting equipment when moving products.
- In the event of an injury seek medical attention, whether minor first aid or possible serious injury requiring EMT’s or emergency room. Report any injury or possible injury to the HR supervisor.
- If you notice any possible hazard report it to your supervisor or any member of the safety committee.
- Read and understand the emergency action plan posted at the time clock information boards.
- You will work along side on another employee to familiarize you to proper methods for the task until you are familiar with the job. If you have questions, ask your supervisor.
