Opportunity
As a Meat Cutter, you are responsible for expertly cutting, trimming, and preparing a variety of fresh meats to meet customer needs and uphold the store’s premium standards. You’ll ensure that all products are presented attractively, handled safely, and prepared with exceptional service. This role requires precision, product knowledge, and a commitment to quality.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cut, trim, debone, grind, and portion proteins according to store specifications and customer requests
- Ensure consistency in cuts, weights, and presentation
- Engage with guests to provide recommendations, answer questions, and fulfill customer orders
- Educate customers on cooking techniques, sourcing, and product features
- Maintain visually appealing and well-stocked meat and seafood cases
- Rotate products to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling, storage, and cleaning procedures
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing meat and seafood deliveries
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to leadership
- Work closely with other meat associates, deli staff, and kitchen team to support cross-functional needs
- Support training of new team members as needed
- Follow dress code and grooming standards that reflect the upscale environment
- Will complete all duties and requests as assigned by management
This is a full-time position working both weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 5:30 am and 9:00 pm.
