Opportunity
The Food & Beverage Intern – Project Management role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the administrative, operational, and project coordination functions that support Kohler Hospitality’s Food & Beverage division. This internship focuses on understanding how systems, communication, training, events, and financial processes operate behind the scenes to support seamless guest experiences across multiple outlets.
The intern will partner closely with Food & Beverage leadership and support teams to assist with recurring operational workflows, documentation, scheduling, and special projects. This role is ideal for a student pursuing hospitality management, business, project management, or operations who is interested in learning how complex hospitality organizations function beyond day-to-day service execution.
Specific Responsibilities
Operational Communication & Coordination
- Assist with maintaining and distributing the Santana International transportation schedule to support Food & Beverage operational needs.
- Compile and distribute Food & Beverage weekend updates and event communications for leadership and operational alignment.
- Prepare and organize Food & Beverage leadership notes, ensuring key updates, decisions, and action items are clearly documented.
- Attend daily DESIGN, BEO, and resume meetings to track attendance, capture key takeaways, and support follow-up communication.
- Maintain and update restaurant hours of operation across Food & Beverage outlets.
Project &
Administrative Support
- Coordinate Imogene’s chef coat dry‑cleaning
process, including tracking and communication.
Support administrative and financial
workflows, including:
- TAC deposit coordination
- Stripe refunds for reservation
cancellations
- Invoice processing support and cash
recycler paper ordering
- Maintain the Food & Beverage
contact list for Dispatch and Maintenance teams.
- Coordinate printer and paper ordering
for Food & Beverage and Meetings & Events offices.
- Maintain the monthly buyout calendar,
ensuring accuracy and visibility for leadership and operations teams.
Training,
Documentation & Culture Initiatives
- Assist with organizing and updating
training videos and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support coordination of Training
Tuesday and Wine Wednesday programming (seasonal).
Assist with recognition and
engagement initiatives, including:
- Manager of the Quarter tracking and
coordination
- Special projects such as the 10‑Year
Anniversary letter for the Immigrant Room
Menu,
Programming & Event Support
- Assist with menu engineering efforts,
including data organization and analysis support.
- Support menu updates through the
Chloe process, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Coordinate live music scheduling for
the Library Bar and Winery venues.
- Support Food & Beverage
leadership with special projects related to events, programming, and
operational readiness.
