Kohler Ronan, LLC is a leading Consulting Engineering Firm in Danbury, CT and New York,
NY specializing in the design of commercial & institutional projects. The Firm is currently in
search of a Technology/AV Engineer. The Engineer must have strong experience in the design of
Audio-Visual systems, and the willingness to learn and design IT structured cabling and
electronic security systems. This position is responsible for design, drafting, and specifying
complex building technology systems. Applicants must be self-motivated, enjoy a collaborative
environment and have experience with AutoCAD and Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.

The Technology/AV Engineer, working in conjunction with Senior-Level team members, is
responsible for designing all aspects of building technology systems including but not limited to:
Qualifications
- AVIXA education and certification (CTS, CTS-D) preferred.
- Experience designing Technology systems and high-performance technology infrastructure in Commercial, Higher Education, K-12, Healthcare, or other institutional environments.
- Very organized and capable of prioritizing workload. Must be comfortable working with others in a team environment and be able to communicate well both verbally and through electronic correspondence.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- BICSI education, including RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification is desirable.
- ASIS education and certification (PSP, CPP) desirable.
- 5-10 years of relevant design experience.
- AutoCAD and Microsoft Office experience required. Revit experience preferred.
