Position Overview:
KOHLER MOVING & STORAGE, INC. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Warehouse Operations Technician to support daily warehouse and logistics activities. This role is essential in maintaining efficient cargo handling, inventory accuracy, and safe storage practices within a fast-paced moving and storage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments and household goods
- Safely load, unload, and organize items within the warehouse
- Prepare shipments for delivery, including packing, labeling, and staging
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems
- Assist with furniture handling, wrapping, and protection for storage or transit
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with drivers and logistics coordinators to ensure timely dispatch
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, moving, or logistics experience is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy items (50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse operations
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Pay: $18.70 - $22.60 per hour
