As a Fitness Trainer for Sports Core, you will be responsible for:
- Promoting and performing lifestyle programs, assessments and personal training services according to Sports Core standards.
- Performing fitness services with minimal direction. Includes body fat testing (calipers and Microfit), girth measurements, weight, cardiovascular step test, sit/reach flexibility testing and strength testing.
- Promoting, designing and performing long-term personal training programs according to the needs and goals of healthy, average adults.
- Effectively demonstrating and assisting facility users with fitness equipment in all fitness and training areas according to quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate member and personal client records according to standard operating procedures.
- Assisting with set-up, cleaning and preventative maintenance for all fitness related equipment (weight benches, racks and equipment, Spinning bikes and any pool needs).
- Minimum of a BS Degree in a related field and experience through an accredited internship program.
- CPR certification required; first-aid certification preferred.
- Training in aerobic instruction or recreation helpful.
- ACE, AFFA, ACSM or related national certifications required prior to starting the role
- Candidate must possess a friendly demeanor and above average communication skills needed to interact effectively with members and the general public.
