A Day in the Life of a Mortgage Servicing Specialist
In this role, you manage an assigned mortgage servicing portfolio, ensuring all loan activities are accurate and compliant with credit union policies, state and federal regulations, and investor guidelines. You deliver exceptional member service, addressing inquiries about payoffs, insurance, taxes, and other mortgage-related matters.
Your day includes performing loan maintenance, updating documentation, generating reports, and collaborating with Accounting to reconcile General Ledgers. You handle subordination and modification requests, assist with annual escrow analyses and disbursements, and oversee lien perfection and releases.
You'll stay current on regulations and credit union policies, reviewing updates from AllRegs and adjusting procedures as needed. Your attention to detail ensures smooth mortgage operations, accurate records, and a positive experience for members.
