Position Overview: As a Mortgage Loan Originator at Kohler Credit Union, you'll guide members through the mortgage process, from selecting the right loan to final paperwork, while building lasting relationships. You'll also partner with local realtors, builders, and insurance agents to grow our referral network and stay up to date on industry trends to support the credit union's continued success.
- Act as a trusted advisor, guiding members through the homeownership process and helping them select the ideal mortgage solution while offering support at every stage.
- Manage the mortgage process behind the scenes-ensuring timely application submissions, organizing necessary documentation, and following up to keep everything on track.
- Cultivate valuable relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and insurance agents to build a strong referral network that benefits both our members and the local community.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends, mortgage products, and regulations, and share valuable insights to ensure the team is always up to date.
- Represent Kohler Credit Union at community events, such as homebuyer seminars and open houses, to promote our services and connect with prospective members.
- Contribute to the credit union's success by supporting various initiatives and always delivering outstanding service to our members, positively impacting their financial futures.
What We're Looking For:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in Mortgage Loan Origination, Lending, or Mortgage Management, with a willingness to obtain NMLS certification
- Solid understanding of mortgage products, guidelines, and industry regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for building trust and lasting relationships
