Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems for processing transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both customers and staff.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee, supplies, and food items, reporting any shortages or issues to management.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems, such as Aloha POS.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to beverage preparation and food handling.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with customers warmly and effectively.
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- A genuine passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
