We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and outdoor facilities to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators to complete repairs, installations, and landscaping projects.
- Maintain landscape areas through mowing, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and managing garden beds.
- Manage irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and seasonal adjustments to ensure healthy plant growth.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as lawn care, edging, fertilizing, and pest management using appropriate pesticides safely.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for visitors and staff.
- Support hardscape projects including walkway repairs, stonework, fencing installation, or other outdoor construction tasks.
- Perform tree care activities such as pruning, trimming, or removal to promote healthy growth and safety.
- Use specialized equipment like leaf blowers or hedge trimmers to maintain outdoor aesthetics.
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects involving landscaping or building repairs to ensure timely completion.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Strong background in landscape maintenance including lawn care, gardening, tree care, and hardscape work.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with plant identification and horticulture practices to support healthy landscaping.
- Experience managing pesticide applications safely in accordance with regulations.
- Ability to perform snow plowing operations efficiently during winter seasons.
- Construction experience is a plus for handling building repairs or outdoor project installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions.
