Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build positive relationships and engage with several entities, such as the Silicon Valley Regional Interoperability Authority and the Urban Areas Security Initiative, as well as staff and City leadership. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the other Deputy Chiefs to ensure the mission of the Department and vision of the Chief is accomplished.
The Deputy Director must be an exceptional and seasoned technology professional who can lead a dynamic and forwardthinking organization. A candidate with a comprehensive background in data analytics is sought. A leader in the IT field with strong management and communication skills is desired.
