Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible school bus driver with School and Passenger endorsement to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service while providing reliable transportation for students, including children and teenagers. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively while ensuring a positive experience for all riders.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bus or 7 passenger ehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safety of students during transit, including assisting with boarding and disembarking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle through regular inspections and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding schedules, routes, and any changes.
- Manage behavior among students during transit to promote a respectful environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Document any incidents or irregularities that occur during the route.
Experience
- Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving with S endorsement is preferred.
- Familiarity with school bus driving or paratransit services is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with students in childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Background in senior care or related fields can enhance the candidate's profile.
- Ability to demonstrate effective behavior management techniques when necessary.
