KFG Financial Advisor Primary Responsibilities:

Client Consultation:

  • Support Koenig Financial Group’s mission by using objectivity, creativity and passion to help our clients, colleagues and community members “live richer lives”.
  • Acts as a Personal CFO for existing and new KFG clients; leads the client relationship, delivers an exceptional experience.
  • Meet with KFG clients to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and current financial situation.
  • Gather and analyze financial data to develop personalized financial plans.
  • Communicate our unique value proposition to existing and prospective KFG clients and work to establish Koenig Financial Group as their trusted financial advisor.
  • Maintain consistent and high level of customer service and satisfaction, whether servicing existing or new clients.
  • Offload Sr. Advisor’s workload as directed by Sr. Advisor.

Financial Planning:

  • Provide strategic advice on Investment Management, Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Risk Management, Insurance, Retirement Planning and General Planning.
  • Develop, implement and manage comprehensive financial plans to help clients achieve their financial objectives.
  • Stay informed about market trends and economic conditions.
  • Use this knowledge to provide informed advice and adjust financial strategies.

Investment Management:

  • Research and recommend investment opportunities using KFG’s financial models or other approved strategies.
  • Work with Sr. Advisor and the Investment Committee to ensure financial models are optimized.
  • Manage client investment portfolios, ensuring they align with clients’ goals and risk tolerance.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and make recommendations as needed. Frequency of client meetings should align with KFG’s internally defined service criteria and client willingness to meet.
  • Be proficient with KFG’s trading platforms (iRebal) and be prepared to back up Trader when needed.
  • Lead the service team with deep collaboration and transparency to ensure accuracy, timeliness, efficiency and the highest levels of customer service.

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Ensure all financial advice and transactions comply with industry regulations and standards and our BD/RIA’s (Harbour Investments, Inc.) established policies.
  • Cultivate and develop deep relationships with our BD/RIA (Harbour Investments, Inc.) to get the most from our “back-office” compliance and product specialists.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients as a representative of KFG.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice, adjusting plans as clients’ needs and circumstances change.
  • Frequency of client meetings is informed by KFG’s internally defined service criteria and client willingness to meet.
  • Client email and voice mail response time expectations are within 24 hours of contact, if not same day response.
  • Document all client interactions per KFG’s defined processes and our BD/RIA’s (Harbour Investments, Inc.) policies (including timeliness and format).

Leadership and Teamwork:

  • Provide teammates with timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; develop employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance career growth.
  • Assist with development and presentation of training programs including coaching of team members on financial planning strategies.
  • Back up Sr. Advisor when Sr. Advisor is away from the office.
  • Perform Trader’s duties when Trader is away from the office. Working with Trader provides timely support for the execution of intra-day requests with strict timeframes such as trades, wire requests, and journals; initiates these requests and is responsible for reviewing and approving them; ensures completion within specified timeframes.
  • Works with Tax, Investments and Estate Planning professionals to determine additional levels of support required for the client's situation.
  • Following client approval, works with team to ensure that all tactical parts of the client implementation are executed timely and accurately.
  • Presents ideas and concepts in an organized and effective manner; is expected to effectively present planning topics; ensures all client related action items are communicated and memorialized in the CRM no later than 24 hours following client meeting.
  • Provide holiday coverage on a rotating basis with other licensed employees during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
  • Time-off must be coordinated with other licensed employees around other key dates on the calendar (e.g. end of year; tax deadlines).

Business Development:

  • The future of our business resides not only in maintaining our current client base but also growing. And we are a small business that requires everyone to wear multiple hats at times. Acquiring new clients is the responsibility of all our Financial Advisors in the company and as such, a component of compensation is tied to new client acquisition. See below.
  • Develop and expand relationships with centers of influence, such as attorneys and CPAs.
  • Generate referrals from existing clients.

Community Engagement:

  • Participate in existing community and industry events in which KFG is or becomes active.
  • We are a creative, collaborative team and we all participate in defining and implementing new and existing community opportunities that align with our values and branding.

PersonalGrowth:

  • As established in the employee’s individual growth plan, there will be opportunities to participate in Harbour Investments, Inc. mentoring program, attend industry events, etc.

In-Office & Technology:

  • This role is an in-office, full-time, and exempt position. We are a work from office culture with a lot of flexibility.
  • Must adhere to KFG’s security and technology policies such as using authenticator applications, VPNs, etc. If these safety requirements fail, then timely resolution with KFG’s IT department and chosen IT partner is required.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Four-year bachelor’s degree.
  • Certification: Advisory licenses required; CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation required, or in the process of obtaining a CFP® designation.
  • Experience:At least 5 years of experience in financial planning and/or estate planning related work, preferably at a professional financial services company or wealth management firm.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in financial planning software and tools.

  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Able to manage heavy workloads and projects, many on a time-sensitive basis, as well as interacting with a tight-knit team of professionals with a range of financial and tax activities.


Compensation:

  • Annual Compensation (no 1099):
  • Base salary: $110,000 – 140,000
  • Bonus structure: Tied to new client acquisition above and beyond the salary, uncapped upside, paid monthly.
  • Benefits:
  • Over time, ability to purchase an equity stake in the firm
  • Our benefits package includes, but is not limited to, health care benefits (medical/dental), retirement benefits, paid time off (PTO), holiday flex-days, company-paid holidays, paid travel to company approved events, training, etc.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
