Duties
- Perform oil changes using various hand tools and power tools efficiently and accurately
- Conduct tire services such as rotations, replacements, and balancing
- Assist with wheel alignments to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety
- Diagnose basic automotive issues using automotive diagnostics equipment
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance including fluid checks, filter replacements, and inspections
- Use mechanical knowledge to identify potential issues and communicate findings effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance when appropriate
- Assist with sales of additional services or products as needed
- Support the team with general maintenance tasks around the shop
Experience
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Prior mechanic experience or automotive service technician experience highly desirable
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and the use of hand tools and power tools required
- Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, tire service, alignments, and basic repairs preferred
- Customer service experience is a plus, demonstrating strong communication skills and professionalism
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various service tasks
- Knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance best practices is essential for success in this role
