You enjoy maintenance and effectively troubleshooting day-to-day issues. This role tracks and completes physical plant services to maintain the building and grounds of the community.
What You'll Do
- This position is a hands-on Physical Plant Director position who will routinely complete small and large maintenance tasks on the community premises
- Direct, coordinate, and complete physical plant services to maintain the building and grounds of the community
- Routinely inspect the physical plant and provide routine preventative maintenance within acceptable standards of practice
- Routinely coordinate, direct, and document required fire drills and fire drill training
- Establish and maintain a schedule of service of equipment and systems
- Maintain outside yard care, whether performed by facility staff or contract service
- Maintain facility to meet all regulatory requirements
- Painting inside and outside
- Maintain community building to meet all regulatory requirements
- Supervises Housekeeping Staff and Maintenance Assistant (if applicable)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Possess the diagnostic and mechanical skills and abilities necessary for accomplishing repairs on systems and buildings
- Supervisory skills and experience
- Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
