Duties

• Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, air brake systems, HVAC units, and other heavy equipment components.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and mechanical issues effectively.
• Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly to modify or repair equipment as needed.
• Service a variety of machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and automotive vehicles.
• Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Use power tools and hand tools efficiently for disassembly and reassembly of complex systems.
• Maintain accurate service records, complete work orders promptly, and document all repairs performed for accountability.

Skills

• Proven experience working in a dealership or heavy truck service environment with strong mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring and hydraulic systems.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
• Knowledge of diesel engine repair procedures along with transmission and brake system maintenance.
• Skilled in using various tools including power tools, torque wrenches, alignment devices, and diagnostic scanners.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour
