Position Summary
Kodiak Labor Solutions is partnering with a growing construction organization seeking an experienced Construction Talent Acquisition Specialist to recruit high-impact salaried professionals across commercial, industrial, and specialty construction operations.
This is not a "post and pray" recruiting role. We're looking for someone who understands the construction industry, knows where to find top talent, and can proactively identify, engage, and close professionals who drive projects from preconstruction through completion.
You'll partner directly with hiring leaders to build talent pipelines for critical operational and leadership positions while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for salaried construction positions across project management, operations, and field leadership.
- Recruit for roles including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, Superintendents, Safety Managers, Operations Managers, VDC/BIM professionals, Purchasing, and other construction support positions.
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networking, referrals, trade associations, and targeted outreach.
- Build and maintain relationships with passive construction professionals across multiple markets.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand project staffing needs, organizational growth plans, and succession strategies.
- Manage candidate pipelines from sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Provide market intelligence, salary trends, and competitive hiring insights to hiring leaders.
- Maintain recruiting metrics while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
- Represent the organization professionally within the construction talent market and strengthen employer branding.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience supporting construction industry professionals.
- Demonstrated success recruiting salaried construction positions, including project management, estimating, operations, or field leadership roles.
- Strong experience sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative recruiting skills.
- Ability to work onsite 4 days a week in High Point, NC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Agency recruiting experience supporting commercial, industrial, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, civil, or specialty contractors.
- Experience recruiting for ENR contractors or construction service organizations.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms, CRM tools, and advanced sourcing techniques.
- Knowledge of construction organizational structures and career paths.
