Assembly Mechanic
Job Summary
We are hiring an Assembly Mechanic to assemble, align, and test piping and mechanical systems according to engineering specifications. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read technical drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble piping systems, valves, supports, and components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Perform pressure testing (pneumatic/hydrostatic)
- Inspect systems and assist with troubleshooting
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean work areas
- Complete documentation and QA/QC checklists
Requirements:
- Experience with mechanical assembly or piping systems
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Familiar with hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred:
- Plumbing or pipefitting experience
- Experience with pressure testing
- Knowledge of SOPs and assembly processes
