Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our water management company's fleet and yard. This role involves managing equipment, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities in the field, and maintaining operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating various logistical aspects to support our field teams effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and proper storage of company fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Supervise the yard operations, including organization, safety compliance, and inventory management.
- Coordinate daily needs of field teams, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and resources for their tasks.
- Schedule and track vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records related to fleet usage, maintenance logs, and inventory supplies.
- Enforce safety protocols within the yard and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate efficient workflow and resource allocation.
- Monitor operational costs related to fleet management and identify opportunities for improvements.
Experience
- Proven experience in managing a fleet or yard operations within a similar industry or environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic setting.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with field teams and vendors.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and adapt to changing operational needs.
