We are seeking a dependable HVAC Installation Helper / Junior Installer to support commercial and industrial HVAC installation projects throughout the Columbus, Ohio market. This position is ideal for an individual with hands-on HVAC experience who is looking to continue developing their skills while working alongside experienced lead installers on commercial projects.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up consistently, and wants to build a long-term career in the HVAC trade.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the installation of commercial and industrial HVAC systems and equipment.
- Support ductwork, piping, equipment setting, and system startup activities.
- Perform basic copper piping and brazing tasks.
- Assist with sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Support basic electrical and plumbing-related tasks associated with HVAC installations.
- Read and follow blueprints, installation drawings, and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Safely operate company vehicles and transport tools and materials.
- Work safely on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and construction sites.
- Support project completion while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC trade experience.
- Basic brazing experience.
- Basic sheet metal fabrication and installation experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Basic plumbing knowledge.
- Must provide personal hand tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Preferred
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Commercial HVAC installation experience.
- Experience operating scissor lifts and aerial work platforms.
- Experience working on commercial construction projects.
