💰 Pay Range: $32.00–$42.00/hour (DOE)

About The Opportunity

We’re seeking a licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our commercial mechanical team serving Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. This position is ideal for an experienced plumber who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoys working on challenging commercial and industrial systems.

You’ll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing and piping systems while collaborating with HVAC, mechanical, and construction teams to deliver safe, code-compliant installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and layout drawings
• Install piping, valves, fittings, fixtures, and related plumbing components
• Troubleshoot and repair leaks, clogs, damaged piping, and faulty fixtures
• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial plumbing systems
• Work with copper, PVC/CPVC, cast iron, and other piping materials
• Perform soldering and brazing as required
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes
• Coordinate scheduling, materials, and job requirements with supervisors and other trades
• Complete daily timesheets, material logs, and as-built documentation
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Journeyman Plumber License required
• 3–5 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience
• Experience with copper, PVC/CPVC, cast iron, soldering, and brazing
• Knowledge of backflow systems, grease traps, and commercial water heaters
• Ability to read blueprints and plumbing layouts
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined or wet environments
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
