Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead and provide technical support for large-scale commercial electrical projects. This role involves overseeing change-outs, retrofits, and installations of complex electrical and control systems for projects ranging from $100K to $3M. The superintendent will manage the day-to-day activities of a team of 10-15 mechanics, apprentices, and helpers, ensuring safety, budget adherence, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate work for electrical mechanics, apprentices, and helpers
- Manage a team of 10-15 electricians
- Provide guidance and demonstrate best practices
- Perform or assist in electrical installations as needed
- Prioritize safety and promote a safety-first culture
- Teach and coach to prevent injuries
- Collaborate with the Electrical Project Manager to discuss labor and material requirements and evaluate work progress
- Ensure project completion meets schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Previous leadership experience as a Lead Electrician, Foreman, Supervisor, or Superintendent on commercial electrical projects
- In-depth knowledge of commercial electrical and control systems
- 7 years of experience (preferred)
- Journeyman or Master’s Electrical License (preferred)
- Ability to interpret blueprint drawings and plans
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet usage
- High energy level for a dynamic workload
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug screen and background check
