Contract Traveling Safety Manager

Job Description

Our client is hiring a Traveling Safety Manager for a large-scale data center construction project in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a contract opportunity offering competitive hourly pay, overtime, and daily per diem for experienced construction safety professionals.

Candidates with experience in construction safety, industrial construction, commercial construction, mission-critical facilities, data center projects, OSHA compliance, and field safety leadership are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction site safety activities.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and audits.
• Perform new hire safety orientations.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Enforce OSHA standards and project safety requirements.
• Work directly with project management and subcontractor teams.
• Promote safe work practices throughout the project.
  
  

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 required.
• CHST required.
• 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Data center construction experience preferred.
• Industrial or commercial construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  
  

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $50-$55 per hour

Overtime: Approximately 58 hours per week

Per Diem: $120 per day paid seven days per week

Duration: Minimum 6-month contract with extension potential

Start Date: Immediate
