 Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java and API Automation Testing using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks for RESTful APIs, ensuring high-quality releases in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop API automation frameworks using Java and Rest Assured
• Write reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation test scripts
• Perform API validation including request/response, schema, status codes, and business logic verification
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps)
• Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to understand requirements
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results
• Perform regression, integration, and performance testing for APIs
• Participate in code reviews and ensure automation best practices
• Maintain test data and environment configurations
• Use tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar for API validation and documentation testing

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java (OOP concepts mandatory)
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured
• Experience with TestNG / JUnit
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, XML
• Knowledge of Maven/Gradle
• Experience with Git version control
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation
• Experience in BDD (Cucumber) – preferred
• Understanding of microservices architecture – preferred
