Position Overview:
KODA Technologies is seeking a Database Specialist/Software Developer to support a small team that maintains and grows a suite of web applications built on .NET Framework, C#, Telerik, and SQL Server. We're seeking an experienced developer who possesses both strong database skills and the ability to contribute to our web applications as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on complex SQL Server and Postgres design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Aid the effort to migrate and integrate data between SQL Server and Postgres environments.
- Support .NET MVC web applications (C#, Kendo/Telerik, front-end integrations).
- Shape best practices for data access, schema design, and performance across our applications.
Required Skills:
- 7-10 years of professional experience in software/database development.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server schema design and optimization.
- Solid experience with Postgres, including performance tuning and cross-platform data considerations.
- Working knowledge of C# / .NET MVC web development.
- Comfort working in a small team where you may wear multiple hats.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with JavaScript.
- Familiarity with DoD contract work and software environments.
- Background in both application and database architecture.
Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Secret Clearance.
