SUMMARY

KODA Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Measurement Technician II to support oil and gas measurement systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection across field operations. This field-based role focuses on the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic flow measurement (EFM) devices, meters, and automation systems. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of oil and gas measurement experience and a strong understanding of measurement principles, reporting software, and industry standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain flow meters, tank gauges, and other measurement devices.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies in volume data and identify root causes of measurement errors.
  • Ensure measurement systems are in compliance with applicable API and AGA standards.
  • Perform routine verification and testing of RTUs, EFMs, and associated instrumentation.
  • Work with SCADA and measurement software such as Flow-Cal, ProCount, and eVIN.
  • Review run tickets and verify volumes with field readings and production statements.
  • Document calibration activities and maintain measurement records for audits and reporting.
  • Interface with production, engineering, and marketing teams to resolve data issues.
  • Assist with the setup of new meter sites and ensure appropriate configuration and programming.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits and respond to measurement inquiries.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

May assist in mentoring junior measurement technicians or field personnel as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Proficient in troubleshooting, calibrating, and programming measurement devices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as API 21.1, AGA 3/7, and related specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and measurement software platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and measurement schematics.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of oil and gas measurement experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of flow measurement principles and gas/liquid metering systems.
  • Prior experience with electronic flow computers (EFMs), RTUs, and communication protocols preferred.

LANGUAGE AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with field operators, engineers, and regulatory personnel.
  • Ability to document technical findings and support collaborative problem-solving.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assess data trends and respond quickly to abnormal conditions

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record acceptable to company insurance standards.
  • Must comply with federally mandated drug and alcohol testing regulations

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, standing, and climbing in outdoor environments.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and measurement equipment in field condition
