Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, surveillance, and conflict management. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain CPR certification for emergency situations.
- Document incidents and prepare reports as required for management review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when needed to ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; additional training in conflict management is a plus.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring equipment is essential.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
- A background in military service or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
