Chentronics, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Norwich, NY for Fall/Winter 2026. This onsite role provides hands-on experience in real-world mechanical engineering design, product development, and manufacturing support for industrial flame detection and ignition systems. Working alongside experienced engineers and a dedicated mentor, you will contribute to the design, testing, validation, documentation, and implementation of products used in demanding industrial applications.

This co-op opportunity is designed as a full-time, onsite assignment in Norwich, New York. Co-op durations may vary between 4–8 months depending on the student's academic program and university schedule.

What You Will Do
- Assist with the design and implementation of electromechanical products, including igniters, output harnesses, and exciters
- Assist with the development and improvement of production processes, systems, and tools
- Collaborate with a diverse engineering team through all phases of product development, including concept, design, testing, verification, documentation, and production support
- Create and update 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
- Develop and implement engineering test plans
- Prepare production documentation including part drawings, assembly prints, test procedures, and related engineering documents
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts related to product performance, manufacturability, and reliability
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Will be enrolled as a junior-level student or higher at the start of the co-op assignment
- Available to work full-time onsite in Norwich, NY for the duration of the co-op term (4–8 months)
- Experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar tools
- Experience creating and revising CAD models and engineering drawings
- Exposure to engineering testing, product development, manufacturing, or production processes
