What You Will Do
- Work alongside Construction Managers, project managers, contractors, and operations teams to support the safe and successful execution of capital and site projects.
- Support construction planning activities by reviewing project scope, schedules, execution plans, and constructability considerations.
- Participate in daily field activities, including contractor coordination, safety meetings, work planning, and removal of execution roadblocks.
- Monitor construction progress, verify installed equipment and materials, and help communicate project status, issues, and upcoming activities.
- Assist with project execution activities related to facility improvements, debottlenecking initiatives, and future turnaround preparation.
- Gain hands-on experience with project startup, checkout, and commissioning activities while developing practical construction management skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.
- Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
- Confined space entry may be required.
- Currently enrolled in a degree or alternative program in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2028.
- Willing and able to meet all physical requirements.
- Able to spend significant time in the field and travel to jobsites as needed.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience in construction, refining, petroleum, chemical, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with construction safety practices, LOTO, or environmental stewardship.
- Exposure to project cost, scheduling, or early-phase (FEL / ECI) constructability concepts.
