Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and equipment such as buffers and floor care machines
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, furniture, and fixtures to uphold a professional environment
- Conduct routine custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects or specialized cleaning tasks as needed to support facility operations
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored safely
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or painting to improve the overall appearance of the premises
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is advantageous
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
