What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Director position at Koch Foods, Inc.?
- Assess through data the enterprise-wide supply chain category priorities for supplier quality improvement,
- Review/revise/develop raw materials specifications.
- Develop supplier qualification system.
- Develop daily measures for suppliers to include hourly integrated system checks, data-sharing, email photographs, etc.
- Develop strategies for sourcing, qualifying and on-boarding potential new suppliers.
- Develop monthly key supplier scorecards.
- Organize, prioritize and lead team of supplier auditors.
- Prepare and report monthly data and highlights with improvement action plans.
- Review all Koch Foods plants internal data on processing specs inspection, customer complaints and utilize data for supplier scorecards and continuous improvement plans.
- Qualify and disqualify suppliers based on contractual performance.
- Assist in the development of possible supplier performance incentives.
- All other relevant duties to the job.
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain or other relevant field of study required.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of USDA regulatory guidelines required.
- 7 years management skills in distribution operations required.
- Willingness to travel.
