Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, beverages, and food items efficiently and accurately.
- Operate POS system Toast to process transactions smoothly while handling cash and card payments with precision.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively using strong time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Assist in food preparation and serving, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Support team members with daily operations, including cashiering, restocking supplies, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS system Toast is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café transactions.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
