Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team as a Barista / Team Leader. Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring their satisfaction
- Operate POS system for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of the café environment by regularly cleaning workstations, equipment, and other areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Manage food handling and preparation tasks efficiently while adhering to health regulations and food safety protocols
- Lead team members during shifts by assigning tasks, supporting training efforts, and fostering a positive work environment
- Process cash transactions accurately, handle register operations smoothly, and reconcile daily sales with basic math skills
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of beverages and supplies
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
- Experience in retail sales transactions using POS systems is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Leadership experience or the ability to motivate team members is desirable for those interested in advancing into supervisory roles
