Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering parts to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks. This position is part-time; day shift Specifically needed for Thursday and Friday availability.
Responsibilities
- Deliver parts to customers and businesses in a timely manner, adhering to scheduled routes.
- Load and unload parts using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of parts as required during deliveries.
- Initiate credit applications for new accounts, check credit requests versus status lists.
- Ensure payments collected from parts deliveries are brought to the cashier and processed in a timely manner.
- Keeps parts delivery van on a routine maintenance schedule, fills gas tank when needed; notify parts manager when major repairs are needed
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with driving vans and manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in loading and unloading shipments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with delivery duties. Must be able to bend and lift up to 50lbs
