Position Details: Kobre & Kim relies heavily on its referral network to sustain an active pipeline of matters. We are the only law firm in the world that proactively manages, in a centralized and coordinated fashion, incoming and outgoing referrals of work through a dedicated Relationship Management team. The ideal candidate is someone who will have a deep interest in the nuances and dynamics of business relationships, a passion for putting their critical thinking abilities to the test through conducting in-depth market research and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Location: New York Requirements: The Kobre & Kim Relationship Management Assistant will: Identify outgoing referral sources that best meet the requester’s needs, including by soliciting feedback from relevant internal stakeholders; Prioritize outgoing referral recipients based on their value to the firm; and Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders involved in referrals. Conduct Research Determine specifications of referral requester needs. Research potential candidates and determine their ability to meet these specifications. Identify short list of candidates that fulfill these requirements. Manage stakeholder needs Prioritize short list based on your thoughts as to their relative value to the firm. Provide well-crafted rationale as to support your selection and recommendation. Recommend how best to execute your recommendation including who should make the call to referrer and what should they say. Focus on Continuous Improvement Track recommendations versus partner decisions When discrepancies exist, memorialize them. Capture learning and apply learnings in future outgoing referrals. Monitor execution of outgoing referrals Track in-market outcomes as much as possible - was recommended candidate contacted, pursued and hired, etc. Manage the updating of new contact information in the firm’s business intelligence system, OnePlace (Salesforce platform) Requirements: Recent college graduate from a top university or college 1-2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience at a law firm preferred, but not required Strong business acumen, project management, and analytical skills Extraordinary attention to detail and demonstrates an intellectual curiosity Superior presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills; the ability to interact credibly, diplomatically, and effectively with all levels within the firm, tailoring communications for different groups and stakeholders A consultative, collaborative, and highly client-service oriented approach Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $52,000 (minimum) – $79,000 (maximum). The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
