Located at 5470 McIntosh Road, Anniston, Alabama, Kobay South LLC is a quality manufacturer of automotive stampings and sub-assemblies.
We are currently recruiting for a Press Operator for our second shift to join our team!
This is a physically demanding job and it requires GREAT ATTENDANCE.
The Press Associate will be responsible for the operation of stamping presses in a safe and appropriate manner and follow all IATF 16949:2016 requirements. He / She must always perform safety checks of equipment and clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by SAS sheet, policies and procedures. Due to the hazards associated with operating heavy equipment, this position places special prohibitions on working while under the influence of drugs and the use of handheld devices such as cellular phones, etc.
Minimum of three (3) years experience
Grade 12 education
Job Duties:
Performs safety inspection at the start of each shift and report all safety issues to your Lead Hand, Supervisor, and Manager or JHSC member.
Ensures and abides by Kobay Enstel Ltd Lockout procedures at all times including using Ram block at all times when press is being cleaned or repaired.
Operate on/off switch.
Responsible to ensure that all safety and quality start up procedures are followed at all times.
Responsible to perform all quality checks utilizing gauges and other measuring devices as required in the control plan.
Responsible for following work instructions and in process sheets accurately at all times.
Responsible for following Kobay QSP 9.2 First off & last off policy at all times.
Responsible for following Kobay QSP 13.0 Control of Non-Conforming Product policy at all times.
Responsible to produce quality parts according to customer specifications.
Maintain / produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.
Responsible for packing parts as required.
Completes shift assignment sheet accurately and timely to indicate achieved productivity.
Responsible for ensuring your work areas are cleaned at all times and 5S tools are returned to its correct location.
Responsible for ensuring floor around work area is kept cleaned at all times and free from oil and other tripping hazards.
Participates in all areas of lean manufacturing.
Able to maintain a clean and safe workplace at all times.
Supports production in all areas including welding.
