What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insulation Team Leader position at Koala Insulation of NoCo?
At Koala Insulation of NoCo, we are looking for an experienced, professional individual to lead and motivate a team in completing our insulation services with quality and efficiency in mind.
This position within the company is expected to consistently perform high-quality insulation services in attics, crawlspaces, and other interior spaces as needed. Get crew prepared and drive to and from install locations with pickup and trailer. Loads and unloads insulation materials. Installs or sprays insulation in attics and crawlsapces. Measures and cuts insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes. Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed. Maintains small engines as necessary.
Will be trained to spary foam insulation to Koala Insulation standards. In addition, this role is responsible for identifying and correcting spray foam issues and providing coaching to more junior installers.

Leadership Responsibilities

- Trains and coaches new employees to be the best they can be.
- Performs insulation removal and installation in attics and crawlspaces, while leading the crew.
- Handles conflict and customer service resolution as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Communicates effectively with Owner/Operations Manager regarding any employee issues that do not align with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Safety: Adheres to and champions jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Ensures that rig is safely driven to jobsite locations.
2. Operations: Reads specifications to determine job requirements and ensures that enough supplies are on hand. Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job. Follows standard operation procedures with equipment set up and operation.
Completes a high quality job while maintaining efficiency. Has working knowledge of all types of insulation installation (blown-in, spray foam, and battes) and consistently performs quality checks.
3. Technical: Ensures vehicle, insulation rig, and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order. Ability to operate, maintain, and diagnose issues with equipment.
4. Customer Service: Communicates professionally with customer, completes paperwork, and accepts payment for work completed. Ensures that team presents a professional image and that jobsite is thoroughly cleaned upon completing the job.
5. Other: Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety. Provides instruction and training to junior team members. Communicates any issues. Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2 years of Crew Lead experience required.
- Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, landscaping, or related field preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in insulation preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, crouching, and maneuvering through attics and crawlspaces.
- Must be able to access and navigate the jobsite.
- Jobsite environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, and heights.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to climb and descend ladders up to 16 feet.
- Must be able to wear mask or respirator.
- Must pass drug and alcohol tests per company policy.
Compensation and Benefits
- $18-28 an hour (paid weekly)
