Job Description
Job Summary
At Koala Insulation of Central CT, we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated insulation Installer to join our insulation team in completing complex jobs. Koala Insulation of Central CT is an insulation contractor providing high-quality insulation services to homeowners, contractors, and property owners.
This position is expected to:
· Consistently perform high-quality Fiberglass, Cellulose and other insulation installations in attics, crawlspaces, basements, ceilings, and walls.
· Manage productivity and create efficiencies on job sites to complete jobs in a timely manner.
· Identify and correct installation issues on job site and provide coaching to junior installers. Your performance will depend on quality, safety, and efficiency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Safety: Adheres to job site safety in accordance with all federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Ensures that rig is safely driven to job site locations. Knowledgeable in insulation safety protocols.
· Operations: Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job. Follows standard operation procedures with equipment set up and operation. Has working knowledge of all types of insulation equipment (blown-in, spray foam, and batts) and consistently performs quality checks.
· Technical: Diagnoses and resolves insulation technical issues. Has knowledge of how to break down and clean insulation equipment and tools.
· Customer Service: Communicates professionally with customers. Maintains a professional image on job site.
· Other: Experience managing and training crews is a plus.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Excellent time management.
· Ability to troubleshoot, operate, and maintain insulation equipment.

Education and Experience:
· High school diploma/GED required
· 5 years of prior experience in all types of insulation installation (blown-in, spray foam, and batts) installation is required. Preference is for experience in both new construction and retrofit applications.
· Knowledge of construction and building science, including areas such as building materials, building envelope, HVAC, natural and electrical lighting, ventilation, indoor air quality, etc.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
· Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
