Golf Course Groundskeeper (IN511-26-05)

Performs a variety of assigned grounds maintenance and repair of golf course and landscape.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs basic gardening, raking, digging, watering, weeding, edging, hedging, pruning, planting and other similar duties.
• Applies fertilizer and pesticide to plants, shrubs, trees and grassed areas as directed by Superintendent.
• Aerates, rolls, vertical mows, top dress greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
• Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Maintains all equipment, trucksters and carts in a clean and operating condition. Makes minor repairs to equipment.
• Performs household duties including sweeping, mopping, cleaning or scrubbing toilets, basins, windows and other similar duties.
• Keeps all equipment, tools and supplies stored neatly and orderly.
• Complies with the company's recycling program (detailed in SOP)

• regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
• frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibrations
• occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
• noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
