Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer located in San Antonio, TX. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs for precision manufacturing, selecting appropriate tools and machining processes, and collaborating with engineering and production teams. Additional duties include troubleshooting CNC issues, ensuring proper setup, and maintaining high standards of quality control and accuracy in manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC programming, G-code, and CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and Solid Works
- Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and metal/material properties
- Experience in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to CNC programming and machine operation
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with engineering and production staff
- Prior experience in CNC programming for industries such as aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certification in machining, manufacturing, or related field preferred
