Job Overview
We are an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) operating Level 3 and Level 4 homes on the same private property, offering a Lead DSP to support the Administrator. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow, bring ideas, and help maintain a consistent, supportive home. We are seeking a Lead DSP with a strong personality, quick thinking, the ability to multi‐task, and professionalism under pressure. A minimum of 2 years recent and continual employment is required for Lead consideration, demonstrating commitment, stability, and reliability in a structured care setting.
DSP Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), routines and schedules in reminders, light assistance.
- Administer medications and document accurately
- Support & promote independence, we are a teaching home.
- Assist in meal preparation
- Journaling to reflecting each resident’s day, participation, and progress.
- Communicate effectively w/staff and leadership to maintain consistency & structure.
- Drive in company vehicle to any needed appt, when needed.
- Share ideas, participate in team discussions, help create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, home‐like environment at all time.
- DSP Lead - Guide the flow of the shift, ensure routines and schedules are followed, and support DSPs with clear direction.
- Assist with guiding new staff, modeling expectations, and supporting team development.
- Problem Solving — Think quickly, multi‐task, and respond confidently to shift needs or unexpected changes.
- Experience in some Administrative duties to assist the Administator.
Requirements:
- Must live within Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, or Camarillo, Oxnard area
- Monday–Friday, 2pm–6pm to start, increasing with each new resident
- Strong personality with quick decision‐making skills
- Ability to multi‐task and stay organized even under pressure
- 2 years of continual employment in a similar role
- Interest in growing into a Lead DSP position
- Desire to grow as the home expands and hours increase
Salary : $21 - $23
