What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time After-School Dance Teacher (Two Hours a Week) position at KNTC Studio?
KNTC Studio is seeking an energetic, dependable, and engaging Dance Instructor to lead fun after-school enrichment classes for elementary-aged students throughout the Denver area. Our programs focus on helping children build confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels successful.

This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and enjoys sharing the joy of dance through age-appropriate, engaging instruction.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging after-school dance classes for elementary-aged students (K–6)
- Teach beginner-friendly dance techniques, movement, rhythm, and choreography
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Adapt instruction to students with varying experience and abilities
- Prepare simple lesson plans and engaging weekly activities
- Manage student behavior using positive classroom management techniques
- Set up and clean up materials before and after class
- Communicate professionally with KNTC staff and school personnel
- Help students prepare a simple performance or showcase when appropriate
Qualifications
- Experience teaching dance to children in a studio, school, recreation, or community setting
- Experience in one or more dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Jazz, Creative Movement, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, or similar
- Comfortable leading groups of up to 20 elementary-aged students
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and enthusiastic
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- CPR and First Aid certification (required or willingness to obtain before employment)
Classes are approximately one hour long with about 15 minutes before and after class for setup and cleanup. Instructors are paid for 2 hours ($75 per class).
Equipment
KNTC provides curriculum support and any required equipment or supplies. Coordination with KNTC may be required for equipment pickup and return. Instructors must have a safe place to securely store any KNTC equipment between teaching days when needed.
