What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at KNT MANUFACTURING?
High School or equivalent. Some College is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience.
Previous work experience or an apprenticeship in a production facility and a background in mechanical or electrical engineering are useful, as is knowledge of multiple workstations on a production line. Planner schedulers also must be able to work with databases, prepare reports and communicate with other employees, staff and customers regarding potential problems and schedule or production changes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent verbal/written communications skills; excellent organizational skills; knowledge of marketing and sales; production planning experience; proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production planner schedulers determine and execute work schedules, diagnose problems and ensure quality control, preventative maintenance and compliance with safety procedures and regulations. Planner schedulers consider each stage of the production process to increase efficiency and productivity. Production planner schedulers are responsible for the smooth and seamless operation of the production, packaging and distribution departments within a company.
Monitor customer issues on a daily basis. Interface with customer representatives as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
Report to management on customer issues and satisfaction.
Track customer metrics on company performance and participate in improvement of customer metrics.
Review and track internal status of customer parts.
Monitor key customer suppliers for delivery and quality.
Monitor and implement response of internal employees to customer issues.
Participate in internal production meetings for assigned customer parts
Ensure that customer purchase orders are correctly recorded in the manufacturing system, including revision levels, pricing, expediting, and special requirements.
REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to reason out problems and conduct research to find solutions. Must be able to follow sequence in logical manner. Must be able to communicate customer requirements to internal personnel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
There may be prolonged viewing of computer monitor and prolonged use of fingers/hands for keyboard. There is prolonged sitting, some standing and or walking. There is some reaching, bending, carrying up to 20 lbs. There is frequent contact with other departments and customers.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
