JOB DESCRIPTION:
Account Executive – Ticket Sales
The Knoxville Smokies, the Double-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are seeking a motivated and energetic Account Executive to join the Ticket Sales Department. This position will report directly to the Director of Ticket and Group Sales and play a key role in driving ticket revenue and creating memorable experiences for fans and corporate partners.
Responsibilities:
- Sell season tickets, mini plans, group outings, hospitality areas, suites, and other ticket packages
- Renew, upgrade, and service existing customer accounts
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and community engagement
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional customer service
- Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals
- Assist with game day responsibilities, fan engagement, and client entertainment
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop new ideas and revenue opportunities

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Qualifications:
- Strong desire to learn and succeed in a competitive sales environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; sales experience is a plus
- Ability to sell effectively over the phone, virtually, and in person
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ticketing/CRM systems a plus
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and long hours as needed during the season
