Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine is a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health facility. Our center provides acute behavioral health care and outpatient treatment to adults and geriatric adults who are in crisis from severe symptoms related to behavioral health and/or substance use disorder. We are looking for a Health Information Manager to join our team! A Behavioral Health Tech / Mental Health Tech helps provide care for patients who have mental health issues.

What you will need:
- High school diploma minimum required. Bachelor’s degree with specialization in health information administration preferred.
- Certification: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), at least one is required.
- Two (2) years’ experience managing/supervising a medical records department preferred. Minimum of one-year behavioral health experience preferred.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain department productivity, quality, and efficiency for all processes within the department.
- Lead and direct health information management services across the facility.
- Oversee data collection, storage, retrieval, filing and retention of medical records/data.
- Audit records and data for accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Review results with medical staff, nursing, and clinical staff.
- Maintain approved levels of security and confidentiality of records/data.
- Interview, select, train and orient new employees to the department.
- Supervise medical records staff, coordinating schedules, delegating work assignments.
- May oversee and complete coding according to current ICD and CPT coding classifications.
